Well what can i say, Its been a long time coming but yesterday was my day,I picked off my competition one by one and it just felt superb. Lady luck did deal me a hand as well as most of the top cars were there and all trying hard but for the first time in over a year and a half I had full drivetrain reliability, wheras some of the other reliable cars throughout the year suffered but thats racing!

My car was running the same set up it has since JUNE 2001 based on my own design. In that time i have only replaced the oil pump due to a slight fluctuation in oil pressure, I left the same big end brgs and main brgs in just replacing the rod bolts.

I have replaced the engine management with HKS V-pro
I have replaced the Greddy spark plugs with HKS items once
I have added a Greddy inlet plenum
I have added water injection ( see our website soon its full research and kit contents revealed )
I have researched extensivly the cooling system and have one last mod left to do on this.
I have replaced the Giken clutch kit twice it has never broken i just got it too hot.

I have broken my gear box more times than I can remember both the trust and the ppg I have extensivley investigated the causes and have made modifications to them both over time, I eventually found and fixed the problems, I ran a stick shift box. It was hard to find this sort of problem as you only had 2 seconds to diagnose it before it broke, but i am reasonably confident now that the problem is solved it lasted all day yesterday and the car still drives this morning fantastic

My car runs standard diffs front and rear and the suspension geometry is as road spec, my suspension is track spec ohlins of which i have changed the spring rate and height for track use I ran standard dunlop 9090 front tyres on my 18 inch nismo and mickey thompson dot drag radials on 17s on the rear.

My power was 765 bhp at the wheels @ 8000 rpm
My torque was 568 Ft-Lbs at the wheels at @ 6400
My boost was 1.9 BAR at peak

My car has given me immense fun and frustration but yesterday has made it all worthwhile for me, I will try next year to get it in the 9s and then it is full concentration with track day events and competitions for me and my car.

However we at GT-ART are building a GTR32 for next year Pro championship but i wont be driving it.

I WOULD LIKE TO THANK ALL THE COMPTITION for a fantastic day and true sportsmanship. The crowd which was even bigger than last year, Chris and Niko and every one close to me for their full support.

It is also worth noting that this is the 2nd year running that this date event has been won by a GT-ART prepared car!

A very happy Gary
ROLL ON NEXT SEASON!
